We’re a large tabletop gaming club, catering to many types of gamer and game. We have a need for a number of different styles of gaming mat. From intense sci-fi styling , to natural and organic-looking, Emperor’s was able to cover all our needs.

The option of having Emperor’s work with us on some custom designs was a godsend, allowing us to cater to some of our more niche game systems, and to customise the mats to the exacting specifications of a boardgame, but better!

In every case, the graphics printed on the mats are amazing, with truly jaw-dropping levels of depth, colour and clarity. Over the years our club has gone through numerous mats, and while some crack and flake, the ones we’ve received from Emperor’s are still all 100%.

We have several of these mats now, and two things that the renders just don’t do justice: the colour and the details. The colours are vibrant and interesting in person, much nicer than other mats we’ve purchased from more established companies, and they haven’t faded with use. The details are all in-scale for the mat, and you don’t really realise what a difference it makes. They feel feel three dimensional, and transform even flat open areas into interesting features. I simply don’t use the other mats anymore. They don’t come with a rubber backing, and we were concerned about slipping, but that hasn’t proven to be a problem at all.
